Double columns. Fine illuminated capital 'I' on f1, running the whole length of the page, representing the 6 days of creation. Other illuminated and historiated initials on ff31, 62, 63, 70, 78, 79, 80, 168. Written in France, probably Paris.
Formerly the property of [George] Offer, bought by Mr Holland at Sotheby's after the fire of 1865, with many of the folios showing signs of this fire. Mr Pierpoint Morgan paid for its restoration by the British Museum.
